Well, merry, merry Christmas Eve, dear caregiver friend, and welcome to this Christmas episode of the Caregiver Cup Podcast. It's Kathy here and I'm here on this Christmas Eve to celebrate you, you, the incredible caregiver who keeps this light going in your loved one's life every single day. I'm gonna start with just a fun little Twas the Night Before Christmas, but I'm going to do a little bit of a spin on it as well. Let's go ahead and get some crackling fireplace music going and let me pull out my book and read it. Twas the night before Christmas, and through the house, a caregiver was still working, as quiet as a mouse. The tasks were all finished, the stockings were hung, but our hero wasn't done Not yet, not one.
Speaker 1:Underneath the twinkling lights, with a heart full of grace, they've been juggling duties, keeping a steady pace from morning till night, with resilience so grand. They give endless support, lending a helping hand. But tonight is a moment to pause and reflect, to honor their spirit, their love and their respect. So to all you caregivers tuning in this eve, here's a little gratitude that we all want to weave. First, thank you for your endless dedication, for the love and care beyond expectation. Your strength inspires us in countless ways, turning ordinary moments into brighter days. Remember to take a moment just for you to sip some cocoa and enjoy the view, whether it's a walk, a book or a peaceful rest. Taking time for yourself to simplify the best this Christmas Eve, let's cherish the joy you bring. The warmth of your heart is everything. Cherish the joy you bring. The warmth of your heart is everything. May your holidays be filled with love and cheer and may the new year bring hope and a bright new gear.
Speaker 1:To end today, my friend, thank you for joining me on the Caregiver Cup podcast and, most importantly, for being part of my caregiving journey too. I feel we have a special bond as a caregiver together that not many people really understand. People don't understand the thoughts, the emotions, the challenges beneath the hard work that we do, and by us gathering together, my hope is that we help each other. We help each other with the sadness, with hope, with joy, with all the stress and anxiety, and the peace in our journey. So I'm going to end today by just wishing you a very Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, happy Holidays whatever you are celebrating this holiday season and, most importantly, a joyful new year.
Speaker 1:I can't wait till next week's episode to share a little bit of what 2025 is going to hold in the Caregiver Cup podcast. Yes, it's going to be servicing you more, but I'm going to be going ahead and doing some focuses, especially in January, to help you with some of your common challenges. But I want you to remember right now, today, right now on this Christmas Eve, that you are not alone. You're appreciated more than words can say, whether your loved one shows it or not. And, most importantly, stay warm, stay joyful and take some time for yourself. Those small moments, maybe this Christmas Eve, this Christmas week. Until next time, my friend, I will talk to you again next week and a very, very Merry Christmas. Bye for now.
